Precious Cargo 12x12 Pages

On vacation last year, we toured the Mid-Continent Railway Museum in North Freedom, Wisconsin.  We loved looking at all the old trains and train memorabilia, but the highlight of our visit was a 7-mile, 50-minute round-trip ride on a former branch line of the Chicago & North Western Railway through the scenic Baraboo Hills.  We rode in restored steel coaches built in 1915.  Authentically-attired staff were on board and we left from a historic wooden depot built in 1894.  It was the kids’ first ride on a train and they loved it, though I think they were hoping it would go a little faster!
