My name is Tara and I'm a chipboard hoarder! There....I've confessed. I've been hoarding my chipboard for months now and figured it's time to start actually using it. Here goes....
I finally got a chance to do another one of Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration challenges. This one comes from some gorgeous bedding by West Elm. I'm a fall-color-kinda-girl, so this challenge was perfect for me! I used chipboard pieces from our On Board Blossoms & Basics pack. I inked them using sponges dipped in ink from our ink pads. Next, I used our markers to created some veins on the leaves and outlines around the edges of the flowers.
I have another confession to make. This is not my original challenge card. I actually made mine last night (as a birthday card for a friend and fellow stamper) and planned to take a photo of it this morning under better lighting conditions. After a sleepless night, I woke up groggy this morning and forgot all about getting a picture and actually gave the card away. When I realized it this afternoon, I could have cried. Anyway, I sat down and whipped another one out, but I didn't have any more of the same flowers and leaves that I used on my original card, so this is an imposter. Close, but not quite the same. Don't say anything but I like the original much better, especially since the flowers and leaves were bigger and more interesting and left less white space on the card!
Stamp sets: it's your birthday
Inks: chocolate chip, really rust, certainly celery
Cardstock: chocolate chip, close to cocoa, whisper white
Embellishments: on board blossoms & basics, white gel pen, certainly celery grosgrain ribbon
Punches: 1/4" & 1/2" circle punches
