As promised a few days ago, here is the tutorial for making a mini scalloped edge using Stampin' Up!'s scallop circle punch.
1. Punch a circle in a scrap piece of cardstock using the 1-1/4" circle punch.
2. Slide your cardstock through the scallop circle punch so that the circle you just punched out is centered in the punch. Now squeeze the punch and you will end up with a scalloped ring.
3. Use a pair of scissors to cut through the scalloped ring. Use your fingers and slowly bend the cardstock at each scallop so that the ring starts to straighten.
4. Continue working each scallop so that your ring is nearly in a straight line.
5. Run a small width of SNAIL or other tape runner adhesive down the inside edge of your card and slowly adhere the scalloped edge to the inside, taking care to keep an even amount of scallop showing on the outside of the card. I found that Tombow multi-purpose adhesive does not work well for this technique as it does not hold the scalloped edge secure enough while you are placing it scallop by scallop. Your finished edge should look like this from the outside....
6. Finish decorating your card or other papercraft item as desired.
NOTE: Stampin' Up! has announced that they are offering a new scallop edge punch in the new catalog. This will definitely allow for easier scalloped edges, though I'm guessing the scallops will be larger than the ones shown here.

I also dug out my retired Cutie Pie designer series paper. So perfect for a little girl's birthday, don't you think?!!
