Well, better late than never! I am 2 weeks overdue for Blogger's Challenge #52, but I do have a good excuse. I was busy prepping and leading the week-long scrapbooking workshop for my church's kids event. Finally had time to work on my challenges today. Be sure to check back tomorrow for Challenge #53.
I've been seeing these Pick a Petal face cards all over blogosphere and have been itching to do my own. I figured it would be perfect for the masculine card challenge, especially since I have hardly any masculine stamp sets. I added hair to the top of mine using the frayed ribbon technique (I'll be posting a tutorial shortly). The HB {short for Happy Birthday} is from the retiring It's Your Birthday stamp set. I hope they come out with a similar stamp set in the new catalog.
Stamp sets: it's your birthday, pick a petal
Inks: stazOn black, pumpkin pie, bashful blue
Cardstock: basic black, bashful blue, whisper white
Embellishments: pumpkin pie grosgrain ribbon
Punches: 3/4" square, 1/2" circle

How Adorable!!! I love what you did with the different elements here and thanks for the tutorial on the ribbon shredding. Fantastic...
Wow, what a different take on a card. Thanks for sharing.

Fun and funky...I've seen this kind of card before but adding the "hair" is a GREAT addition that I hadn't seen!
This just made me smile! - How clever and the "hair" is wonderful.
This is a FUN card. VERY cute! TFS!
